Craig Carey - Co-Founder & Director of Business

Craig founded Bubble Chamber CIC with Ben in 2014. Previously Craig worked at Social Enterprise UK where he spent five years as the Head of Operations. He has 20 years extensive knowledge of the UK social enterprise and charity sectors, and experience of multinational and local NGOs, corporate organisations and small business environments.

At SEUK he managed all operational elements of their portfolio, undertaking consultancy contracts focusing on business planning and the training of entrepreneurs in India and China. He also developed a national leadership programme for a range of social enterprise CEOs (Emerging, Senior and Public Sector spin out leaders) and designed a replication programme to help scale up enterprises. He previously worked at Pilotlight where he developed over 30 strategic plans for charities and social enterprises. Craig also has experience of setting up SMEs in the Education sector and overseas in Malawi. Craig is a Non Executive Director for a Health Care Social Enterprise and is also an Associate for Eastside Primetimers and Social Enterprise UK.

Craig has an MBA and degree in Economics and is an accredited practitioner for Strategy on a Page, with a certificate in coaching and MSP qualification in programme management. He is an RSA Fellow and member of the Institute of Directors.

Craig is passionate about helping social enterprises grow their business models and social impact, in order to become sector leaders across the UK economy. On a personal front Craig wants to see the Newcastle Supporters Trust take over Newcastle United and be the first big football club with 100% fan ownership.
